Mylan Taking Immediate Action to Further Enhance Access to EpiPen Auto-Injector

Mylan N.V. on Aug. 25 announced that it is taking immediate action to further enhance access to EpiPen (epinephrine injection, USP) Auto-Injector by expanding already existing programs in recognition of those patients who are facing the burden of higher out-of-pocket costs. The company is reducing the patient cost of EpiPen Auto-Injector through the use of a savings card which will cover up to $300 for their EpiPen 2-Pak. For patients who were previously paying the full amount of the company’s list price for EpiPen, this effectively reduces their out-of-pocket cost exposure by 50%. Mylan also is doubling the eligibility for its patient assistance program, which will eliminate out-of-pocket costs for uninsured and under-insured patients and families as well. See the full release to learn more about Mylan’s plans for the EpiPen.

Statement From Gold Medal Olympic Swimmer Jack Conger

The following statement was issued by Jack Conger, regarding the situation in Rio: It’s good to be back home in the U.S. Participating in the Olympics was a wonderful experience, and I want to express my appreciation to Brazil and to Rio de Janeiro for being wonderful hosts. I also want to express my gratitude for the support I’ve received from my family and friends, USA Swimming, the US Olympic Committee, and the University of Texas. Unfortunately, one event has become the focus of attention, and I want to briefly address that event today. First and foremost, I deeply regret the trouble and embarrassment this event has brought to the people of Brazil and Rio de Janeiro, and the distraction it has caused from the achievements of my fellow Olympians. Brazil and Rio have staged a great Games, and it was a privilege to be there and to represent the United States of America. I also want to express my regret for its impact on USA Swimming and the USOC.  See the full release to read Conger’s statement in full.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announces Ang Lee’s highly anticipated Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk as a Special World Premiere Presentation of the 54th New York Film Festival (September 30October 16) on Friday, October 14, at AMC Lincoln Square. New York Film Festival Director and Selection Committee Chair Kent Jones said, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk astonished me, and it moved me deeply—in the grandest way, as a story of America in the years after the invasion of Iraq, and on the most intimate person-to-person wavelength. Ang Lee has always gone deep into the nuances of the emotions between his characters, and that’s exactly what drove him to push cinema technology to new levels. It’s all about the faces, the smallest emotional shifts. In every way, Billy Lynn is the work of a master.” See the full release to see more about the movie and this year’s New York Film Festival.
