Meditation Blogs We Love - mediablog.prnewswire.com

It’s early to start thinking about new year’s resolutions, but I already know what I’d like to work on for next year.

Meditation.

Almost two years ago, I embarked on a plan to practice more yoga, and I think I’m in a good place with that. But it’s my mind that honestly could use some slowing down and quiet space.

So I found some blogs to help me get there.

1. Tiny Buddha

Tiny Buddha offers “simple wisdom for complex lives.”

The site features many forums and platforms to connect, share, help, and inspire.

“Tiny Buddha is about reflecting on simple wisdom and learning new ways to apply it to our complex lives — complete with responsibilities, struggles, dreams, and relationships,” writes Lori Deschene, who runs the site. “Founded in 2009, Tiny Buddha has emerged as a leading resource for peace and happiness, with close to three million monthly readers and a vibrant community forum.”

Posts that caught my eye include Tiny Habits That Can Support Big Goals and What to Do If You Feel Trapped By Your Circumstances.

2. Mindful

Mindful touts “healthy mind, healthy life.”

Posts cover living, meditation, and work.

“We’re dedicated to inspiring, guiding, and connecting anyone who wants to explore mindfulness—to enjoy better health, more caring relationships, and a compassionate society,” the site says.

Notable posts include An 11-Minute Awareness of Breath Practice, Seven Mindful Children’s Books, and Why We Worry All the Time.

3. Wildmind

Wildmind’s meditation blog features posts about recovery, practice, and quotes of the month.

The site is run by Bodhipaksa, a Buddhist teacher and author.

“Wildmind’s mission is to benefit the world by promoting mindfulness and compassion through the practice of Buddhist meditation,” the site says. “Wildmind began life in 2000 as a project that Bodhipaksa undertook while studying for a Masters’ degree at the University of Montana, having realized that at that time there was a dearth of reliable information about meditation on the web.”

Posts that I found interesting include Five Ways to Forgive Yourself and Let Go of Painful Regret and Four Steps to Self-Empathy and Self-Kindness.

About Meditation supports a variety of meditation topics, including stress and relaxation, benefits, techniques, spirituality, and guided meditations.

“We are a team of creatives who love meditation and how it helps us grow and thrive,” About Meditation says. “Like deep sleep and delicious food, we feel it’s essential to leading a rich life. Whether you want to relax, stimulate creativity, gain enlightenment, or cultivate compassion and mindfulness, we help you learn how to let go.”
