It seems like we hear nearly regularly news about a data breach.

It’s why I picked this topic for this week’s blog profiles — it’s unfortunately timely and we could all use some good information about how to keep our information secure.

Here are some good sites that I dug up.

1. SC Media

SC Media is about cybersecurity. It aims to deliver breaking news about cybersecurity as well as comprehensive analysis and news about cutting-edge products.

“We’ve lived it for more than 25 years, sharing industry expert guidance and insight, in-depth features and timely news, and independent product reviews in various content forms in partnership with and for top-level information security executives and their technical teams,” the site says.

Posts you should read up on: 35 million voter records from 19 states found for sale on Dark Web, Pentagon data breach exposed 30,000 travel records, and Augmented reality could help solve the cybersecurity talent gap.

This site features computer security news, advice, and opinion pieces. Graham Cluley is a public speaker and independent computer security analyst.

Cluley says he’s been working in the computer security industry since the early 1990s. He’s given many talks and has appeared on TV, radio, and print for news agencies, including NPR, BBC, CNN, Mashable, and TechCrunch, to name a few.

Posts I found interesting include Pentagon data breach puts personal details of 30,000 staff at risk, Fake Adobe update really *does* update Flash (while also installing cryptominer), and Google chose not to go public about bug that exposed Google Plus users’ data.
