Blog Profiles: Education & Learning Blogs
Welcome to Blog Profiles! Each week, we select a topic and handful of blogs that do a great job contributing to the conversation. As teachers, students, and parents head back to the classroom, we’re looking at a few education blogs. Do you have a blog that deserves recognition? Tweet our writers at @BeyondBylines.
Back-to-school season is officially upon us, so what better way to celebrate the kiddos returning for some learning (see what I did here) and their wonderful teachers than bookmarking a few great blogs that focus on education and learning.
1. Growing Book by Book
This blog aims to nurture and motivate children to read and love books. It’s founded by Jodie Rodriquez, an educator, reading specialist, and literacy coach with more than 20 years’ experience teaching the little ones in early childhood schools.

2. Learning is Messy
Brian Crosby pens this blog and has been a teacher for more than 30 years. He specializes in “at risk” students and shares his ideas for learning in a personal style and encourages other teachers to understand that sometimes learning isn’t linear.
A couple of interesting blog posts include What Happened to the Potential of Social Media in Education?; and Class dynamics and culture are really time consuming AND really worth every minute!

3. Thank You Brain
This blog focuses on improving learning and memory. It’s written by neuroscientist Dr. Bill Klemm who chronicles his research on memory and learning.
I loved reading the Five Ways to Make Yourself Smarter post, as well as Grit: The Key to School Success.

4. K-12 Daily
This blog covers K-12 education and is dedicated to offering information on how best to improve student performance. It covers a variety of K-12 topics including Budget & Finance, Curriculum & Instruction, Politics & Education, Human Resources, Facilities, and Special Education.
Sadly, K-12 Daily closed its doors on June 28, but I still wanted to include it in the list because the posts are well written and include useful evergreen info.
A few great reads include Good Attendance Starts with a Health Mind and Body and Don’t Ignore Cardiac Health of Middle School Athletes.

I love to use the online resources that might help me with the study. Especially, I need it when it comes to my papers, so I often use https://studyclerk.com/essay-maker that is the perfect place for students who are confused with the requirements. I think today, I am going to use all these resources as well.
