Guns N’ Roses Greatest Hits Makes Its Vinyl Debut on Sept. 25
On Sept. 25, Guns N’ Roses’ 2004, multi-platinum best-of compilation Greatest Hits (Geffen/UMe) will be released on vinyl for the first time. Previously only available digitally and on CD, Greatest Hits will be pressed as a 2-LP set on 180-gram audiophile black vinyl, a 2-LP set on silver-colored vinyl with red and white splatter, plus a 2-LP picture disc available exclusively through the band’s official store. The vinyl edition of Greatest Hits will also feature the band’s single “Shadow of Your Love,” which hit No. 5 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Originally recorded in December 1986, “Shadow of Your Love” made its debut on the 2018 box set Appetite for Destruction.

On Aug. 3, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, with the leadership of the Friends of St. Nicholas and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, visited the World Trade Center to witness the resumption of construction of the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine, the only house of worship destroyed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Once rebuilt, the church and national shrine will serve as a powerful symbol of resilience and a beacon of hope, welcoming people of all faiths to honor the lives lost on 9/11.
Redfin Survey: 25% of Homebuyers Are Moving — or Moving Sooner than Planned — Because of the Pandemic
Three-quarters of homebuyers who plan to buy a home within the next 12 months say the coronavirus pandemic has impacted their homebuying plans, according to a survey conducted by Redfin (www.redfin.com), the technology-powered real estate brokerage. Furthermore, 25% of homebuyers said it has caused them to move and/or speed up their moving timeline, 20% said it has caused them to delay their plans to move, and 17% are now looking for a less expensive home.
