Quicken Survey Shows Millennials Likely to Flee Cities Over the Next Year
Quicken Inc. on Aug. 12 shared results from a recent survey of more than 1,000 millennials renting apartments in urban areas. While 93% of millennials have stayed in their city of residence since the start of the pandemic, more than one third (37%) are considering moving away in the next year.
Restaurant Survey: Consumers Eager to Dine-Out and are Supporting Local
Fatigued by cooking at home, consumers are anxious to dine at their favorite restaurants according to a new Oracle food and beverage study. The survey found that 59% of U.S. and 47% of U.K. consumers plan to dine-out as soon as they are able. In fact, as soon as it’s deemed safe to reopen, 26% of U.S. respondents and 14% of the U.K. said they plan to return in the first week. Diners are looking for reassurance on cleaning procedures and technology to reduce contact with servers.
CEOs: Post-COVID Changes Are Permanent and There Are More to Come
The need for business leaders and policymakers to fundamentally rethink the way they plan, invest, and operate in the future is underlined in a new survey of 699 global CEOs released by PwC. The survey shows the majority of CEOs believe that COVID-19 pandemic driven shifts towards remote collaboration (78%), automation (76%), and fewer people working from offices (61%) are here to stay. Overall, 61% say their business model will be more digital in the future — a change accelerated by the pandemic.
