5 Sites to Visit for Men’s Emotional Health News and Resources
From time to time, an industry or subject inspires us to create a best-of list. These are men’s health news sites that produce out-of-this-world coverage in a crowded arena. This year has been especially hard on everyone’s stress levels and overall wellbeing. This can have a significant impact on men, some of whom may struggle with expressing their emotions or talking about these issues. From my own experience, I’ve found that refusing to be vulnerable and empathetic has always lead to more pain and heartache in the long term.
So to celebrate Movember, an annual event to raise awareness of men’s health issues, we’ve put together a list of websites that can help men find more peace and focus on their emotional wellbeing.
1. The Good Men Project
The Good Men Project was founded by Tom Matlack, who believes that most, if not all, men at one point or another have no idea what makes a good man.
The reality is there is no one way to be a good man. This website collects stories about “the way men’s roles are changing in modern life—and the way those changes affect everyone.” The active community of contributors covers a range of topics, including fatherhood, relationships, ethics, gender, politics, and sports.
The project’s aim is to redefine what it means to be a man in the 21st century by having the “conversation no one else is having.”

2. Men’s Health Magazine
This is one of the top online sources for men’s health and wellbeing news. Although much of the content covers men’s physical health, readers can also find content about mental health and relationships.
Men’s Health Magazine has been around since the 1980s and is distributed monthly on a global scale. The magazine covers a wide range of topics, from fashion and grooming to health, nutrition, fitness and weight loss, as well as cutting-edge gear, the latest in entertainment, science, and more.
The publication relies on experts and peer-reviewed journals for its articles, so readers can be sure they’re getting up-to-date and accurate information.

3. Talking About Men’s Health
This site features a variety of contributors discussing men’s physical and emotional health. The writers, mostly doctoral-level academics and professionals, cover topics that focus on the “health and well-being of boys, men, and their families.”
Readers get in-depth looks at the sources of men’s fears and subsequent physical reactions. When doing self-work, it’s important to understand that we can sometimes stand in our own way, and if we can maintain a level of awareness when an emotion creeps in, we can begin the necessary work of asking why.
If you want to get to the root of why men behave in certain ways, Talking About Men’s Health is a great site to check out. It’s been ranked as a Top 10 Men’s Health Blog by Healthline.

MenAlive was created by Jed Diamond, PhD, with a goal to help men live full and healthy lives, both emotionally and physically. Dr. Diamond has a master’s degree in social work and a PhD in international health.
MenAlive provides resources for those hoping to grow and better communicate with their partners. MensLine is an Australia-based organization that provides mental health and counseling resources for men in Australia and helpful online content for men all over the world. Its resources include well-written articles revolving around intimacy, fatherhood, and mental health.
The organization understands that many men are more focused on solutions rather than discussing their feelings, find it tough to ask for help, and may avoid face-to-face discussions. Its staff of professional counselors meets these challenges by providing practical support through a variety of channels like online and via phone.
The site’s posts are especially helpful, as they provide actionable steps to address a medley of issues. The Wellbeing Blog also features several new posts each month.
