NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover got its first high-definition look around its new home in Jezero Crater on Feb. 21, after rotating its mast, or “head,” 360 degrees, allowing the rover’s Mastcam-Z instrument to capture its first panorama after touching down on the Red Planet on Feb 18. It was the rover’s second panorama ever, as the rover’s Navigation Cameras, or Navcams, also located on the mast, captured a 360-degree view on Feb. 20.
Goodyear to Acquire Cooper, Creating Stronger U.S.-Based Leader in Global Tire Industry
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. on Feb. 22 announced that they have entered a definitive transaction agreement under which Goodyear will acquire Cooper in a transaction with a total enterprise value of approximately $2.5 billion.

Scripps National Spelling Bee Returns This Summer
The Scripps National Spelling Bee returns this year with top spellers from across the U.S. and the globe gathering near Orlando, Fla., on July 8 to compete in the nationally televised event. The final rounds of this year’s Bee will be hosted in person at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort. The finals, featuring 10-12 accomplished spellers, will be broadcast live in primetime on ESPN2.
