Blog Profiles: Mommy Blogs
Welcome to Blog Profiles! Each week, we select a topic and handful of blogs that do a great job contributing to the conversation. As Mother’s Day nears, we’re dedicating this week’s roundup to a few of our favorite mommy blogs. Do you have a blog that deserves recognition? Tweet our writers at @BeyondBylines.
In celebration of all of the amazing “supermoms” out there for Mother’s Day, as well as the soon-to-be mothers – like myself – I thought I’d share some mommy blogs that are must-reads.
These blogs are written by astounding mothers who just get it. These mommas have provided a wealth of tips and tricks to help other mothers who just need a little advice, a little laugh, and a little inspiration. From balancing work, mommy duties, marriage, and “me time” – they share it all!
1. At Home with Natalie
Natalie Lesnefsky, a supermom of six, is a talented DIY and lifestyle blogger who celebrates her love for motherhood and community. She’s passionate about party planning and shares her tips and tricks through her writing and her creative family party videos!
From birthdays to family events – she’s a pro at throwing an epic party for children, family, and friends to always remember. Not to mention, she’s even developed a Party E – Course to help her readers become pro planners themselves.
In addition, one of the most heartwarming and fun events she hosted was a party she threw to celebrate moms in her community. Check out her recap of the Mom’s Night Out Event. She explains, “I wanted to create a night where moms could feel blessed, spark their creativity, and build community!” (Now, how adorable and thoughtful is she?)
“I love creating moments for people to feel loved and special and encouraged.” — Natalie Lesnefsky

2. Nesting Story
Joanna Fowler’s blog is definitely one to check out, especially if you are a parent of twins! This momma of four is not afraid to tell you like it is and share her honest story of motherhood. Check out her post: Giving Birth To Twins And What A C-Section Is REALLY Like.
Her blog is also inspired by her interior design background — she’s is quite the designer and savvy in DIY! One of my favorite designs is her farmhouse-inspired living room makeover, which also has just enough modern touches to give it a nice nostalgic feel. Take a look: A simple farmhouse-inspired room refresh.
And it doesn’t stop there. Joanna has a successful vlog on YouTube where she shows off her DIY and design talent and provides lots of great tips and tricks for her readers/viewers. Take a look at her recent Basement Bathroom Makeover Video.
Fowler announced that she’d be taking a break from the blog in spring 2021, but made a return last summer.

3. Cool Mom Picks
As a new mommy-to-be, I’d have to say this is one of my go-to blogs when I need a little advice on what to expect when entering the life of parenting, or even a little sense of direction on what to put on my baby registry.
Bloggers Kristen and Liz have all the content you need to know as you’re navigating life as a parent.
No matter what parenting stage you’re in, they have tips and tricks to share. From baby gift guides to offering encouragement and advice for talking to your tween or teen about the election or COVID-19 – they know it all!
Also make sure to check out their podcast, which features some really great guests and experts speaking on parenting tips, the pandemic, safety and more.
These two super moms have created quite the brand for themselves and their blog. “We had no idea our site would grow to become a major lifestyle network, that we’d end up sharing our finds with the TODAY Show and Martha Stewart, that we’d be able to make a real difference for so many small businesses and women-run companies, or that we’d end up with an incredible community of the coolest readers on the planet. (If we do say so ourselves).”

Celina Anton is a content distribution subject matter expert at Cision. You can follow her at @PRNhotels and @PRNFood and connect with her on LinkedIn. She’s passionate about the food and wine industry, as well as enjoys a good HGTV show to inspire her DIY home projects.
