Follow These 9 Fashion News Sites During Fashion Week (& Beyond)
From time to time, an industry or subject inspires us to create a best-of list. In case you’ve missed some of these, you can find them here. These are fashion news sites that produce out-of-this-world coverage in a crowded arena. If you think your site should be considered, give us a holler and tell us why.
As designer Miuccia Prada once said, “What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language.”
Whether someone has an active interest in fashion or not, it’s a constant part of life and choosing an outfit each day is an act of self-expression. Yes, even if it’s deciding which sweatpants to wear during work.
Fashion also is a big industry. Really big. According to FashionUnited, the global fashion industry is valued at $3 trillion. That’s 2% of the world’s gross domestic product.
So with fashion weeks beginning to ramp up in the coming weeks and an industry that’s constantly changing and adapting to consumer trends, we want to recognize these nine sites that make sure readers are on top of the latest fashion news.
1. Vogue
This list wouldn’t be complete without the publication that many consider the fashion bible. American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour has said, “’Vogue’ is the best of everything that fashion can offer, and I think we point the way. We are, you know, a glamorous girlfriend.”
Stories cover fashion trends, profiles on style icons and trendsetters, as well as regular Best Dressed lists. News from fashion weeks around the world keeps readers informed on the latest collections.
Vogue also hosts the annual Met Gala, which is basically the fashion equivalent of the Oscars, so make sure to look out for this event coverage in May of each year. The 2021 Gala, however, was postponed to September of this year due to the pandemic. This year’s theme will celebrate American fashion.

Business of Fashion also includes dedicated sections for industry job postings, online learning, and the BoF 500 (last updated in 2019), which recognizes individuals making an impact in the fashion industry.

The site also has a wonderfully useful Fashion Dictionary – perfect if you need to brush up on industry terminology.
